Julie Anne creates her one off pieces from glass, different clays and also liquid clay slip. Her painted canvases are mainly acrylic paintings. She enjoys exploring different materials and techniques.
Over the last 20 years she has experience in running a pottery painting studio using slip cast molds and teaching these techniques. From slip casting and creating both plaster and silicon molds to hand building with different clays and enjoying the process of the potters wheel. She has run and taught classes to both children and adults in every art and craft available including fluid art, wet felting, paper crafts, drawing and painting. Every day is still a day of learning and creating.
Starting from clay, fused glass is also a material that is fired in the kiln and seems an obvious progression that can achieve such smooth finishes, creating pieces from small cute items to luxurious bowls with the most amazing colours.
A life dedicated to creative arts, teaching, encouraging and enjoying the end results.
